The Mon

The Mon’s sound ranges from dark folk to experimental ambient and heavy electronic. The name ‘The Mon’ is a play on words that means both ‘demon’ and ‘monk’ and in Japanese means “gate” or ‘archway’ (門) – a symbol for the transition to altered states of consciousness.

Urlo describes The Mon as an ‘inner path’ on which music serves as a tool for purification and emotional liberation. Each piece becomes a ‘gate’ that invites the listener to confront their own inner conflicts.
