“Anthems for Doomed Youth” Tour 2025
“Anthems for Doomed Youth” Tour 2025
‘It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that we are unable to organise this tour due to the fvcking Ministry of Culture Міністерство культури та стратегічних комунікацій України which has blocked everyone’s exit permits for cultural, journalistic, scientific etc. events. events.
As they wrote:
Due to loopholes in the national legislation, there have been numerous cases when people who have received permission from the State Border Service to temporarily travel abroad have not returned to Ukraine within the set deadlines. `
We as a band want to apologise to 1914 all our fans, every venue and promoter who messed up hard with the tickets, promotion etc, our booking Napalm Events who worked hard to make this tour possible, Band Katla and everyone who supported us.
We understand that tour cancellation is a terrible reputation killer, and as a band and as a project we are deadlier than alive in the face of promoters, fans, venues and festivals.
Apologies to our Ministry of Culture. ’
The Brutality Of War – Pure Historic Blackened Death/Doom Metal!
The Ukrainian experts of the First World War of 1914 continue to reflect on the cruel stories of the First World War, the fate of its soldiers, their deaths, their fear and their heroic deeds that will never be forgotten.
1914 released their new album ‘Where Fear and Weapons Meet’ on 22 October 2021 via Napalm Records.
Eleven tracks of historical heaviness follow on from the band’s second album ‘The Blind Leading the Blind’ (2018), and their critically acclaimed debut ‘Eschatology of War’ (2015), creating a sophisticated variant of blackened death metal, accentuated by dramatic and realistic audio soundscapes and unsettling melodies, flavoured with the approach of sludge and doom!

Extreme doom from Scandinavia. Black/death metal in a sludge environment. Sonic chaos and dark, dirty vocals. Long hair and leather waistcoats, covered with beards and tattoos – a pure celebration of life and happiness, of drinking beer and partying.
KATLA is a three-piece band from Denmark that was founded in Copenhagen in 2018.
